COURSES - COSTA DEL SOL - Parador Málaga Golf COURSES - COSTA DEL SOL - Parador Málaga Golf Buggy Information:
Buggy Cost: 32€
Hand Cart: 5€ Course Summary: Par 72 El Parador del Golf was inauguarated 1925 by the Spanish Royal family. Designed by Scottish architect Tom Simpson, known for his golfing layouts at Turnberry and Muirfield, El Parador is naturally well known as it is the oldest course on the Costa del Sol. Close to Málaga airport it is a flat course, therefore extremely walkable and is part parkland and part links. The fairways form avenues between the trees which are home to flocks of colourful parakeets which is delightful, and if you are coming in on the last couple of holes during the evening, the rest of the wild life is also on view.
The Parador has hosted many championship events and amongst them the Turespana Masters has to be the most prestigious. It is a mature course with some challenging holes and some long par fours which tempt you to "open" up with your driver and fairway woods. It might be flat but draws you in to take chances. When the sea breeze "gets up" this can give you yet another challenge. |
